So how is this similar to search engine optimising a clients website?
Being an SEO consultant can mean taking money for advice which you know will be ignored. You can tell some clients that their titles need to be descriptive relative to the content of the page till you are blue in the face. But as long as you are paid for the advice do you really mind that they ignore it.
I havn’t met one successful SEO consultant who hasn’t had a client like this. Sooner or later though, they might be asking why their competitor is wiping the floor with them.
Not only is it bad SEO it’s bad business and if your client behaves in this manner, how much longer will they be around. The question is, do you really care as long as they hand over the readies.
